Regular Events

Social activities are an important feature of life at St James’. We also hold an annual Summer Fête and Christmas Bazaar, both of which attract large numbers of visitors from the local community.

Every Tuesday, we run a Luncheon Club in the church hall for between 30 and 40 local elderly people, followed by Outreach at 2pm..

We have a Men's Breakfast at 8.00 am on a Saturday morning, approximately 3-4 times per year. Between 20 and 25 attend for a full English breakfast and a short talk by an invited speaker. All are welcome.

St James’ Fellowship is a social group, meeting on alternate Thursday evenings in the church hall. It plans a programme of events for the year with guest speakers etc. They also raise money for charities. Fellowship runs a profitable bric-a-brac stall and cake stall at the Summer Fête and Christmas Bazaar. Visitors are always very welcome.

A Craft Group meets in the church hall on the first Friday afternoon of each month. Members are welcome to bring their own endeavours or to join in with a group project.
